Fantasy Football Line Up

RMHS-freshman-football-2017-1.jpg

The first week of football has us dipping chips and grilling wings in anticipation on who will claim the Super Bowl title in February. We decided that we needed our own Fantasy Football All-Star team. Or we hijacked our husband’s. But let's be real, he knows more about football than we do. He's coaching us each week on our lineup so we're getting some professional coaching. If you want to succeed, you have to find someone smarter than you. Right?

Here’s our starting lineup for the week 1.

Jameis Winston QB - Tampa Bay
Marshawn Lynch RB - Raiders
Dalvin Cook RB - Vikings
Antonio Brown WR - Steelers
Tyreek Hill WR - Chiefs
Rob Gronk TE - Patriots
Davonte Parker WR FLEX - Dolphins
Defense - Chiefs
Kicker - Matt Prater - Lions

Week 2

We kicked off the season with a win the first week. So many injuries, it was hard to recoup. But we managed to do get a good team for week 2 despite who went out.

Phillip Rivers QB - Chargers
A.J. Green WR - Cincinnati
Jordy Nelson WR - Greenbay
Le'Veon Bell RB - Steelers
Kareem Hunt RB - Chiefs
Delanie Walker TE - Titans
Tyreek Hill WR - Chiefs
Kicker - Matt Prater - Lions
Defense - Seattle

Week 3

We swapped our defense for Philadephia since Seattle played a tough team this week. It seems like it may pay off.

Phillip Rivers QB - Chargers
A.J. Green WR - Cincinnati
Tyreek Hill WR - Chiefs
Le'Veon Bell RB - Steelers
Kareem Hunt RB - Chiefs
Delanie Walker TE - Titans
Christian McCaffrey RB - Panthers
Kicker - Matt Prater - Lions
Defense - Philadelphia

Week 4

We're getting nervous as the temperature is dropping in some places. But we're sticking with some of our favs this week.

Phillip Rivers QB - Chargers
A.J. Green WR - Cincinnati
Jordy Nelson WR - Greenbay
Le'Veon Bell RB - Steelers
Kareem Hunt RB - Chiefs
Delanie Walker TE - Titans
Dalvin Cook RB - Vikings
Kicker - Matt Prater - Lions
Defense - Seattle

What does football have to do with branding and social media?

Absolutely nothing. We just love having a reason to drink on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. But here are some fun facts about American Football.

  • Women currently make up 45% of the football fan base
  • The 2nd largest city in the States, Los Angeles, not only host 1 but 2 NFL teams after a 21-year absence from the city of Angeles. Rams worked on their beach tan last year and the Chargers joined them this season
  • There are currently eight women working in the NFL as a scouts or coaches
  • Women are showing that they can play the sport too. Kicker Becca Longo was the first women to sign on a D-II school on a scholarship. Is NFL in her future? We're watching her career to find out.
